The Beauty of Maps

In today’s fast-paced world, rarely do we have the time or patience to pull out a map.

“I need directions to…..” we tell our phones.

Yet, when my husband and I are traveling across several states, we still break out the atlas to see the whole route–adjacent towns and good stopping points.

Recently, at the suggestion of a friend and reader, my husband and I located a mapmaker to hand draw maps of the towns in my two books — one modern-day Bentonsport and one showing Bentonsport of the 1870s.

I think the map maker did a lovely job!
